Cascina Capo

Live an authentic experience

Cascina Capo is the result of a careful restoration and expansion of a property that included two houses and an old stable. It extends over approximately 13,000 square meters, of which 4,000 are vineyards in the DOC Valpolicella area.

The structure is surrounded by greenery, and is located on the hill of the hamlet of Torbe, in the municipality of Negrar di Valpolicella, with a panoramic view of the Valpolicella and the Verona plain. In addition, the farm manages a 23,500 square meter plot of land in San Peretto, with an olive grove and other crops.

The plot of land in San Peretto also hosts a kaki cultivation. In a near future a cultivation of aromatic plants is also envisaged. In addition, the beehives will be transferred there and a snail farming and a small vegetable garden will be started.

The farm is committed to environmental sustainability, by adopting organic practices and installing photovoltaic panels. There is a rainwater collection system, in order to reduce environmental impact and preserve biodiversity.

The land is currently cultivated with vines, olive trees, potatoes and pumpkins. With the implementation of the building restoration and of the expansion interventions, the following activities have been planned:

  • beekeeping;
  • snail farming, for the extraction of slime and for meat;
  • cultivation of medicinal plants for the extraction of essential oils;
  • cultivation of vegetables and their transformation.

Part of the company's production will be transformed directly on the farm and sold on the spot, while grapes and olives will continue to be delivered to local wineries and oil mills.

We cultivate nature, community life and opportunities for everybody

A place of inclusion, education and well-being

Our social farm is a welcoming environment where agriculture, inclusion and sustainability meet. We also organize courses dedicated to well being, such as yoga, art therapy and dance therapy, in collaboration with professionals and associations in the area. The farm is also an opportunity for people with disabilities, thanks to job placement paths, internships and occupational laboratories, promoting autonomy and inclusion.
